Lines that
speak louder
than words
Welcome to Vedart, the official studio and portfolio of Vedangi Trivedi. I'm a fine art draughtsman obsessed with the raw tension between a blank page and the marks we dare to leave on it. My drawings live in the space between realism and feeling, where a single charcoal stroke or delicate pencil line carries the weight of a full story.
Trained at the Slade School of Fine Art, I've exhibited across Europe and Asia, and my original drawings, sketches, and large-scale murals are held in private collections on four continents.

The ritual behind every mark
Observation
Every drawing begins with looking — really looking. I spend hours before a subject before a single mark hits the paper. The eye trains the hand.
Gesture
Loose, fast, alive. The first marks capture movement and energy. These gestures become the bones of the final piece — invisible but load-bearing.
Construction
Building structure layer by layer. Planes of tone before detail. The image emerges the way a photograph develops — in stages, from blur to clarity.
Refinement
Knowing when to stop is the hardest skill in drawing. I remove as much as I add — erasing into highlights, lifting pigment to reveal the paper's own light.
